Dynamic markings are not decibel levels

A forte is not the same in every case. It's not about decibels; it's about context. What would happen if you played the forte in a Mozart symphony as you sat in your orchestra's rehearsal, the same as the forte in your Tchaikovsky concerto when you are soloist with the same orchestra? Same? No. Different? Absolutely.
